My Experience with Wordly Guys
by LaurenM insorry, two posts in a day..but i need to vent something: so far my experience with "worldly" guys has not been the best 1. my first guy experience was with a dude who left state and never came back 2. a coworker asked me to netflix and chill and i did 3. a guy wanted to sext me all the time but never took me out on a date and i did 4. a guy who took me on a great date but then asked me up to his apartment immediately after and then didn't call me after 5. finally, another great date, until after the guy texted me asking for nude pics..told him no!
so basically i've concluded that i had been giving off a vibe that i had no self respect and that was confirmed by me allowing them to use me as a sex object..but i'm hoping that not all worldly guys are like this, and when i start acting like i have self respect, they will treat me like that too?
is that a good assumption?

LaurenM - You are clearly a girl who is very attractive to guys, so give yourself time & opportunity to meet someone who isn't just turned on by your looks. Let them "tune in" to you as a person - and vice-versa.
Mutual respect and admiration will result.
Pretty soon you'll both discover if your relationship is based on & satisfied by each other's various emotional characteristics, rather than solely the physical urges which can easily be gratified by any good looking woman.
You will find someone who is on your "wavelength", and I'll bet it's when you least expect it! Enjoy 2016.

The jw.org billions
by Gorbatchov in.
it is still strange, that an organization, lead by a group of old timers, is gaining billions at the moment, without giving any transparency and accountancy feedback, because these men "trust each other", and come away with that.. they got the property investment by the use of cohi associates, and deposit their liquid assets at the caymans.. it is clear: the real power behind the jw.org facade is securing his future.. don't get me wrong, i'm not insane, but more and more i got this strong gut feeling that some governmental organization has the real power.. gorby.

Hey Gorby, your post echoed what me and my best friend (non-J.W.) were discussing yesterday, namely, that due to their money/power, the Org (not G.B.) appears to have "friends and influence" within certain governments - especially in the U.S.A. - which seem to shield it from having its practices critically examined.
Let's hope that in 2016, the U.K. Charities Commission Enquiry publicly exposes the Org's British "skeletons in the cupboard."
ADDED: I don't believe for a moment that the 7 front-men for the Org have any control whatsoever over the financial resources of the corporation. Puppets don't pull their own strings!

The story of my exit
by mrsObfuscate ini have been lurking here for about 6 months, and being the last day of the year, and ready to start the new one afresh, i want to share the story of our exit from the org.
i have found the personal experiences of others of immeasurable value, (and its been a while since a good exit story has been posted) that i hope this can be of benefit to at least someone.. .
my mother became a jehovahs witness when i was about 9 or 10. i remember initially hating all of the new sanctions put on our lives (no birthdays and christmas anymore) but for some reason i soon after joined her in attending the meetings and eventually got baptized at the age of 14. my staunch catholic father converted a couple of years later.

Welcome Obfuscate household - what a lovely way to end the year, by hearing your very encouraging story.
It's great to know that there are many like you who are visiting sites to find out what nasty things are hiding in the Org's closet.
I feel very confident that 2016 is going to present J.W.'s with more severe "beatings" from their evil slave controllers, due to the sheep's adverse reaction to the constant fleecing.
The Org is rapidly reaching the point of "flogging a dead horse", because so many folks are switching off mentally & financially.
Have a great year on your new road in life.

ultimatum stop the practice of shunning or lose your charity status.
by joe134cd injust curious what would wt do if a government said reform your policy on shunning or you will lose your charity status.
we will also be monitoring your reforms and there will be consequences if not brought up to our standards.

Ditto Smiddy.
The Charities Commission should take a long hard look at - and revise - the legal and operational qualifications which define "charity", and re-assess existing charities to see if they fulfill the requirements.

"We've missed you." - Well, I'll never turn visitors away!
"Are you going to start coming back?" - I'll definitely let you know if I do!
"Wasn't that a wonderful meeting!" - I've had a lovely evening - but this wasn't it! (G.M.)
Any attempts by the wolves to "have a chat" with you, ask them what it's about, and if the subject matter is not to your liking, simply say, "Not at the moment, but thank you for the offer."
If they try to push it by saying, "But it'll only take a couple of minutes", rinse & repeat!

Update 8: "fix your attitude, young lady"
by Esmeralda001 inmy study conductor lectured me about my attitude this morning!!!!
apparently some sister complained to her that my attitude was irritating.
the sister in question is just bothered by the fact that i ignore her along with her four daughters.

"Apparently some sister complained to her.."
I would ask your study conductor, "Why is this "sister" going against Jesus' direction at Matthew 5:23,24, and talking to others about me? If she has a problem, shouldn't she have spoken to me - alone?"
Your shunners took the high ground against you. Let them see exactly where they are standing.
Their "thinking" needs readjusted! (Galatians 6:1)

"Theocratic Warfare" still alive and well within Watchtower in 2016!
by ILoveTTATT2 init seems like the watchtower is still encouraging "theocratic warfare".
in the no.1 watchtower of 2016, they (ironically) printed an article on honesty.here is something they said:"lyingwhat is it?
saying something false to someone who is entitledto know the truth.

No wonder that legions of J.W.'s minds are turned to mush with all the double-speak the Org spews out. Something will be "wrong" in one article, but "right" in the next - such as lying!
e.g. This is how the self - proclaimed "faithful slave of God" describes Rahab's lying:
w13 11/1 p. 14 - "Using simple strategy, she had misdirected murderous men who had no right to the truth."
it-2 p. 245 - "While malicious lying is definitely condemned in the Bible, this does not mean that a person is under obligation to divulge truthful information to people who are not entitled to it."
It's no wonder then that a "mature" Witness who answered up during the "Bible highlights", (which dealt with Rahab's lying) clearly stated that lying was justifiable when replying to someone who was not entitled to the truth! (as proven at the A.R.C. by the squirming elders and G.B. member)
Rahab's lifestyle and background would almost certainly have meant that she lied on a daily basis - so lying to the soldiers would have been instinctive - not the result of an epiphany.
A tip for J.W.'s - to keep a clean conscience, simply decline to answer - rather than lying!
(John 8:44) "You are from your father the Devil.....and you wish to do the desires of your father....and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him.... because he is a liar and the father of the lie."

240 'Lands'
by Jeffro injehovah's witnesses are purportedly 'active' in 240 'lands', quite a remarkable feat for a planet with only about 200 sovereign states (206 if you count all that are recognised by at least one un member, of which jws are present in 166).
more than half of all jws worldwide are in just 10 countries.
over 90% are in 45 countries.. to achieve this mathematical miracle, various places that are not separate countries are counted as 'lands'.. tahiti is counted as a separate 'land' though it is part of the society islands, which is part of french polynesia, which is part of... france.

What's the status of this org financially?
by megaboy insoooo... i think the main strength of this group is having the finances to keep this con game going.
i'm hoping that the pedophilia cases are draining them dry so we can be rid of this stumbling block from an organizational stand point.
how is the constant surge of bad news getting out on them effecting the everyday person in this organization?

KAIK - Either way, WT is somewhere bleeding.
FINKELSTEIN - I've never seen so much money grabbing and pleading coming out this organization.
PEPPERHEART - And some of the things that the borg have come out with have been priceless [inexplicable?]
BETH SARIM - it has to be paying for something, which the rank and file have no idea about!!!!
I agree 100% with all of the above!!
Are the Org's draconian cut-backs and sell-offs the result of an enforced new business structure, to appease mega-creditors who could bring down the WTBTS?
Potential paedophile lawsuits do not justify or explain the desperation and panic to amass more cash - as BETH SARIM suggests.
